HEALTHCARE
ACCESS
Access to high-quality healthcare should be available to everyone. District 4 is currently facing losing 9 of its 11 hospitals. I will vote to repeal HR1 to save those facilities from closure and will push for federal program(s) that will provide even more services to rural areas.
COSTS
The costs for our healthcare has gotten completely out of control due to constant attacks by the current administration. We must make sweeping changes to our healthcare system which includes exploring Medicare for All, caps on prescription costs, expansion of Medicaid and Medicare.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Americans should never face the decision of buying needed medication or buying food but that is a common problem. I will fight for caps on life saving medications, free medication for the elderly and veterans, and a federal prescription program offering affordable options with or without insurance.
AFFORDABILITY
GROCERY PRICES
We just went through an election where promises for lower grocery prices were a cornerstone. The only thing we have seen is prices continue to rise. While corporations in the food chain reap record profits, every day folks can't put food on the table. I will fight every day to cut food costs across the board.
